A Dewar flask has a remarkable ability to hold extremely cold liquids such as liquid nitrogen for a considerable period of time. The boiling point of liquid nitrogen is 77K compared to a room temperature of about 300K. The flasks can hold liquid nitrogen for about a day without even having a lid on the container. The flask can effectively block heat transfer from the outside.

Double-walled borosilicate glass, vacuum-pressed and silver-plated allows for efficient storage, transport and use of liquid nitrogen and dry ice.
